Last night, I was just about to curl up on the couch and watch an exciting episode of So You Think You Can Dance, when my friend Reed called me. He said his brother, Clayton Hanmer, was having an art show at Resistor Gallery in Toronto, with his collective Trio Magnus. Also, in the collective are fellow artists: Aaron Leighton and Steve Wilson.

I thought to myself, I don’t really like So You Think You Can Dance, and decided to check out Reed’s brother’s show. The pieces were worked on by all 3 in the collective. They used red and black magic markers on canvas to produce the art. It looked awesome! Their illustrative styles integrated perfectly. Check out the pics!

My friend Reed… He is a scuba diver. This is his brother’s show with along with the art collective he belongs to, called Trio Magnus.

Here is a video I took last night. It is of my friend’s band Ancestors. They played in some dude’s kitchen. Surprisingly, it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. People were moshing and crowd surfing in a room smaller than a walk-in closet.

Mutek was amazing! iPhone, not so much.
