The name “Manitoba” (“great spirit”) is believed to be derived from the Cree, Ojibwe or Assiniboine languages.

We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout,
We’ve been talkin’ ’bout Jackson, ever since the fire went out.
I’m goin’ to Jackson, I’m gonna mess around,
Yeah, I’m goin’ to Jackson,
Look out Jackson town.

Just having some fun with old photos and textures. It would be cool to visit Finland.
I use Photomatix to create the HDR images in my blog. I use the Details Enhancer most of the time. The other option you can use is the Tone Compressor. I was wondering what the difference was between the two… so I decided to process the same picture twice, trying out both options.
You can easily see the difference between Details Enhancer and Tone Compressor by looking at images above. The Details Enhancer produces a much more dramatic effect than Tone Compressor. However I think the Tone Compressor look more realistic.
I found a thread on Flickr group where some people are discussing the differences:
dddphoto says:
The Tone Compressor acts like a global contrast adjustment whereas the Details Enhancer acts like a local contrast adjustment. You can get much more “natural” looking images using the Tone Compressor, however you don’t get the range in shadow/highlights that Details Enhancer gives.
I use both as the image dictates. It is very easy to go back and forth in Photomatix as it is just a tab at the top of the Tone Mapping area. Just give it a try and see what you think.

I use the Tone Compressor when I am trying to retain deep shadows, its sometimes difficult to get that look with the Details Enhancer
I found this mural around the dockyard area in Bermuda. There are about 100 murals left by the crews of naval ships that have docked in Bermuda. I heard they may paint over them soon, so I frantically took pictures of most of them.
“Tatars sometimes spelled Tartars, are a Turkic-speaking ethnic group mainly inhabiting Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, and Poland. They collectively numbered more than five million in the late 20th century.”
This picture was taken close to the town of St. George on the island of Bermuda. You can see the remains of an old bridge.
Bermuda is a British overseas territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. Located off the east coast of the United States, it is situated around 1,770 kilometres (1,100 mi) northeast of Miami, Florida, and 1,350 kilometres (840 mi) south of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The nearest landmass is Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, about 1,030 kilometres (640 mi) west-northwest. It is the oldest and most populous remaining British overseas territory, settled by England a century before the Acts of Union created the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Bermuda’s first capital, St. George’s, was settled in 1612 and is the oldest continuously inhabited English town in the Americas.
